Regain Your Freedom

I think this is the perfect topic for today because it’s the 4th of July and in the United States it’s time for celebration. A celebration of freedom. While some places have their freedom and we here in the United States are celebrating the 4th of July, we need to remind ourselves that there is another kind of freedom that we need and it is for this reason that I want to write about regaining your freedom.

The freedom that I am referring to is not the freedom that you may be thinking. The freedom that I am referring to is freedom from your own self. That’s right! There are times that we create our own prisons. We deny ourselves our right to be happy. We deny ourselves our right to be who we really are. We deny ourselves great well-being.

We do this in so many ways. We do this through our thinking, our emotions, our choices, by remaining stuck, self-sabotage, and the list goes on and on.

If you find yourself not liking where you are in life, it’s time that you regain your freedom.

You regain your freedom when you can admit that something isn’t working in your life. That’s actually the first step. Unless you realize that something is wrong or that something needs to change, nothing can change.

The second step is for you to figure out what isn’t working in your life. It is this kind of awareness that can help you find a way out of what you don’t like and get you moving into the direction that you would like to go.

The third step is for you to know how you want the outcome to look like. This step and the second step is equivalent to you putting into the GPS system where you are and where you want to go. This too will help you move into the direction that you would like to go.

The second and the third step will help you regain your freedom from the situation that you are in and this takes you to the fourth step. The fourth step is to find out what steps you need to take to get from point A to point B. This is the part that many find a challenge to figure out. This is when I highly recommend people to get themselves a coach. A coach is someone who can help you get from point A to point B. Figuring out these steps are crucial because it is this that helps you move forward to point B.
