On This Day and Everyday…..

On this day of Christmas, but not just Christmas, everyday it should be this way, it is important to live with gratefulness. Gratefulness for having your loved ones with you. Grateful that you have shelter. Grateful that you have a job, if you have a job. Grateful for any good that is in your life. Life is way too short to stress the small stuff.

Be loving all the time. You do this by being kind to others, by smiling at others, by speaking nice words to others, by reminding those you love how much you love them. Don’t ever take for granted how important this is. Love is what truly makes the world go round. Many say money makes the world go round and money is important for certain things like paying rent, bills and food. But without love, you truly have nothing. It’s important to have love for others, love for life, love for yourself, love for what you do, etc. This emotion truly is the most powerful emotion that there is.

The most precious gift you can ever give to others is your sincere love and friendship. I believe that sincere friendship is so healing to the heart, mind and soul. Christmas is not about the physical, material presents nor should love and appreciation be shown only during this time. It is all the time that we must show love towards others. There is nothing like you spending time with people you love and that love you back.

This post may seem like it has nothing to do with well-being but it does. If only we can be more grateful for all we have, if only we can be more loving all the time, if only we can cultivate healthy, loving relationships, I think our happiness level would go up. Lack of love, lack of gratitude, lack of quality relationships are detrimental to our health. I believe that the lack of these things lead to spiritual poverty.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas full of health, happiness and love!
